A Library Assistant is the first point of contact for users of the Library. Library Assistants deal with the public in person and on the telephone, answering enquiries, assisting with self-service terminals and public computers, shelving, signposting to other agencies and dealing with Council-related enquiries.
If you are committed to providing excellent customer care and can contribute cheerfully and efficiently to a quality Library Service, Macclesfield Library would like to hear from you. Hours will include one late night until 7pm and alternate Saturday mornings until 1pm.
We need you to have the energy and enthusiasm to deliver effective reader development opportunities to adults and children, respond to the needs of our customers and community and be good at detail orientated tasks.
You must have good communication and keyboard skills.
Applicants should ensure all sections of the application form are completed as failure to do so will result in their application being rejected.
For further details please contact Vicki.Bailey@cheshireeast.gov.uk or ring 01625 374000
The 15 hrs will be worked across a two-week rota and will include every other Saturday. Timetable TBC.
