Crynodeb
We are looking to recruit an experienced Personal Health Care Assistant to support a young man in his late teens who is developmentally younger than his chronological age. He loves singing and music, dancing and fairground rides and lives with family in the CT6 postcode area for half the week and the CT9 postcode area for half the week.
Support is needed with getting up, bathing, meal preparation and feeding, as well as healthcare tasks such as seizure management, administering medication, and PEG feeding. Assistance is also required in the community to access activities such as swimming, bowling and the cinema.
Applicants must be committed, have patience, kindness and empathy and really want to work in the care sector.
Only applicants who have the right to live and work in the UK need apply as sponsorship is not available due to the nature of the employment.
This role is working for an individual employer using NHS funds and not working for the NHS.
Hours: various, weekends, school holidays and after school
Benefits: 5.6 weeks paid annual leave, access to Workplace Pension with Employer Contribution at Statutory Rate, all training provided, and DBS Check and Update Service paid for by employer.
The successful applicant needs to have a current driving licence and the ability to drive an automatic car.
