My client is a leading food business in the Devon area. Their Procurement Team is at the heart of maintaining the exceptional standards they’re known for – sourcing ethically, sustainably, and commercially.



They are currently restructuring their Supply Chain and Procurement functions to support future growth. As their new Direct Procurement Manager, you’ll take a pivotal role in shaping the way they source, building on their long-standing supplier relationships

What you’ll be doing

Lead and develop the buying team, overseeing direct food products.
Manage supplier relationships, fostering long-term partnerships built on trust and shared success.
Drive strategic sourcing and procurement strategies.
Take ownership of procurement budgets, processes, and compliance.
Analyse markets, manage risks, and proactively deliver improvements and cost savings.

What we’re looking for

Proven leadership experience in procurement, ideally within fresh produce, FMCG, or a related sector.
A strong track record of managing budgets and delivering measurable cost savings.
Experience building, developing, and leading a procurement team.
Excellent negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and supplier relationship management.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for analysis and forecasting.
Skilled in risk management, spend analysis, and continuous improvement.
Strong stakeholder engagement across all business levels.
CIPS Level 3 qualified (or equivalent).
