- Temporary until 31 August 2026 in the first instance with the view to extending as our new nursery is established

About the Role
We are setting up a new Nursery provision at our school and are looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Supervisor to join our team. This supervisory position includes and element of line management of the two Nursery Assistants as well as supporting the children attending the Nursery setting and working with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager and to deliver a suitable programme of activities, and caring for the children’s personal needs. The role will also include acting as a key worker for a small number of children and compiling a record of their development as well as involving parents/carers in their child’s progress. The successful candidate will enjoy working with children and be able to use their initiative to support the children’s needs and form positive and supportive relationships with them.
The Nursery setting will also provide before and after school care for the Nursery and school aged children, so the working hours will be between 8.00am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

North Elmham Primary Academy is part of the Flourish Federation along with Stibbard All Saints Primary Academy and Nursery. Both schools are part of DNEAT (Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust). The Nursery will become the main feeder setting for the school and will provide early education for children from 2 years of age. We allow parents the flexibility to use Nursery funded hours at any time during our opening hours to enable families to arrange childcare around their working week.
We would love to hear from you if:
- You have a suitable early years or childcare qualification (NVQ level 2 or equivalent)
- You have experience of working in an early years setting, either a Nursery or within an early years classroom
- You have a love of the outdoors
- You have an awareness of the Foundation Stage curriculum and experience of using the online journal, Tapestry
- You are calm and flexible in your approach to children and able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
- You are willing to undertake training as required for the role, attend meetings and contribute to the positive ethos of our school.
