We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our friendly team at Little Bears Preschool.
In this leadership role, you’ll support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the preschool and delivery of the EYFS. You’ll also act as a key person for a group of children, fostering strong relationships with families and ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high-quality, play-based learning in line with the EYFS
- Support and lead staff alongside the Manager
- Build partnerships with parents and carers
- Maintain rigorous safeguarding, health, and hygiene standards
- Ensure children can access all areas of the early years curriculum within the setting.
- Contribute to the continuous development of our policies and practices
Essential Criteria
- Level 3 or above in early years education/childcare
- At least 2 years’ experience with children aged 2-5
- Excellent knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A caring, calm, and collaborative nature
Desirable Criteria
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Previous experience of management level role
