Location: Nottinghamshire (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)
⌚Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (Hourly equivalent)
Contract Type: Temporary (3 months)
Reporting To: Senior Credit Controller/ Credit Manager
Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a short-term opportunity in a dynamic accountancy firm? We're recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join a friendly finance team and help manage customer accounts, reduce aged debt, and support cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively chase outstanding payments via phone, email, and letter.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment statuses.
- Resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently.
- Monitor customer accounts and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assist in preparing aged debt reports.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and customers.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (basic formulas and spreadsheet management).
- Familiarity with accounting systems.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Minimum of a diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
