This welcoming primary school in Watford is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will support children in their first years of education — helping them build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning while nurturing their emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities - Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support the academic progress of children in Nursery and Reception across the curriculum
• Provide empathetic, personalised emotional support
• Lead 1:1 and small group learning sessions
• Track and monitor progress in early reading, writing, and phonics
• Prepare engaging learning resources and classroom materials
• Assist with playtime and lunchtime duties as part of the rota
Who We’re Looking For - Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant
To thrive in this role, you should have: Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant
• A graduate degree (all subjects considered, but Psychology, Education, Sociology, Therapy, or SEN backgrounds are especially valued)
• A genuine passion for working with young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, empathetic, and patient nature
• An interest in pursuing a career in education or child development
• Experience working with children (desirable, but not essential)
