Econ Engineering is the UK’s largest supplier of winter maintenance and highways vehicles. With 55 years of expertise, we are a leader in designing and manufacturing high-quality vehicles that keep roads safe throughout the winter months.
The Role
We are looking to recruit a skilled Welder to join our team of day welders at our Ripon Head Office. The successful candidate will work on a variety of components, primarily in mild steel, using MIG welding equipment. These components range from small piece parts to large hoppers and tipper bodies for our commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
MIG welding a variety of mild steel components.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Plating components before final welding.
Ensuring all work meets the required quality standards.
Working efficiently to meet production targets.
Requirements
Proven experience in welding.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working with mild steel.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Full-Time Hours – 39 hours per week:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
1-hour lunch break each day
