Crynodeb
Provide person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and quality of life.
Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
Support with meal preparation, hydration, and feeding where required.
Prompt or administer medication in line with care plans and training.
Carry out light household duties including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
Offer companionship, emotional support, and reassurance to reduce isolation and promote wellbeing.
Monitor and record any changes in service users’ health or circumstances, reporting concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
Promote dignity, privacy, and choice at all times.
Work in partnership with families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to deliver consistent and effective care.
Demonstrate compassion, patience, and good communication skills in every aspect of care.
Previous care experience or qualifications (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) are desirable but not essential, as full training is usually provided.
