The Role
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the Strategic Highways Team in a forward thinking authority leading on the Flood Alleviation programme.
This role will be focused on working closely with a variety of stakeholders to develop and deliver the Flood Alleviation Programme ensuring that potential funding opportunities are identified to support the project. The role will involve regular communication with members of the public, Members and interested parties either via documentation or engagement events. Denbighshire has an outstanding reputation for delivering high profile flood alleviation schemes, such as the recently completed multi million pound coastal flood protection schemes at Rhyl and Prestatyn.
The role will also focus on the leading, overseeing, agreement and implementation of sustainable drainage applications and measures (SAB) with regards to new developments and projects countywide.
Denbighshire County Council have the goal to become a net carbon zero and ecologically positive organisation by 2030, alongside improving our organisational climate risk resilience. This role will be a key contributor to deliver on our objectives.
