Salary: £29,173 - £33,287 (pro-rata for sessional)
Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Pirniehall Primary is a non-denominational school situated in the North West of Edinburgh and is part of the Craigroyston Learning Community. The school currently has a roll of 290 pupils, with 9 classes covering the stages P1-P7 and a further 24 nursery children attending full-time.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Early Years Practitioner who will bring a positive and enthusiastic approach to our school and nursery. Experience of ensuring positive outcomes for children with additional support needs would be desirable.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team supporting, encouraging and engaging children in the Nursery and Primary 1. Currently, this post is working within our P1 classroom.

SSSC

Scottish Social Services Council regulates social work, social care and children and young people workforce in Scotland.

You must register and maintain your registration as long as your role requires it.

If not already registered, you must apply to register with SSSC within 3 months.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
