St Teresa of Calcutta Academy Trust Central Team are currently seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Officer to join our Central Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and maintaining a safe, compliant and supportive environment across our schools and central office.
As we continue our journey of growth and development, we are looking for someone who shares our values of Hope, Courage and Innovation, and who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of our children, young people and communities.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will:
Support the delivery of the Trust’s Health & Safety strategy,
Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments across multiple sites,
Advise senior leaders on statutory compliance (e.g. COSHH, RIDDOR, Fire Safety),
Lead on accident investigations and emergency planning,
Deliver engaging health & safety training to staff,
Liaise with external agencies and contribute to capital projects from a safety perspective.
This is a hands-on role requiring excellent communication, initiative and the ability to work independently across our Trust’s schools.

We are seeking an individual who:
Holds a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
Has proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally within the education or public sector.
Demonstrates strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Is confident delivering training and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Has a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
