Hours: 22.5 hours per week (8.00am to 4.00pm Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays), 39 weeks per year (Term Time Only)
Required from Monday 5th January 2025, or as soon as possible
The governing body of Bishop Childs Church in Wales Primary School wishes to appoint a committed, highly-motivated, and adaptable school administrator to manage our school office for three days per week.
The role is rewarding, busy and varied. The successful candidate will have excellent ICT, literacy and numeracy skills, as well as a warm and friendly manner. They will also need to be a team player, who can liaise successfully with their equivalent post holder, who carries out the same administrative duties on the remaining two days of the week.
Duties will include:
● Dealing with queries via the school’s text service, email and telephone calls
● Managing the school diary
● Being the first point of contact for parents and other visitors to the school
● Maintaining stock levels
● Liaising with suppliers and ensuring best value for money
● Organising school visits
● Managing our online payment system (ParentPay)
● Providing administrative support to the headteacher and teaching staff
● Completing data returns required by Cardiff Council and Welsh Government
● Managing aspects of the school budget and financial systems
All school staff are required to demonstrate respect for the Christian ethos of the school and exercise discretion. A faith reference is not required for this post.
