Your new company
Our client is recruiting for a Part-Time Finance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. The organisation is ideally seeking the successful candidate to work circa 3 days per week. The hours of work are 9am-5pm and there can be some flexibility on the hours worked. The organisation is based in Glasgow city centre and can be easily accessed by public transport. Upon successful pass of probation, hybrid working can be offered.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of a small finance & office function, the Finance Officer will undertake a range of duties.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to;
- End-to-end purchase ledger invoicing
- Inbox and query management
- Matching, batching and coding invoices
- Supporting month-end processes
- Query management
- Reconciliations
- Expenses
- Sales ledger and billing tasks
- Working across various systems including, Sage, Xero, Excel and bespoke in-house systems
- Associated finance administration
What you'll need to succeed
You will have had experience in a similarly varied finance/accounts assistant role and be comfortable managing a diverse workload. You will be a professional and personable communicator as you will liaise with clients, suppliers and colleagues on a daily basis. You will be able to work effectively as part of a small team, whilst also working to your own initiative.
