Work Location: County Hall, Glenfield. Alternative base at Market Harborough, Hinckley, Coalville, Wigston, Loughborough or Melton would be considered on appointment.

Worker Category: Hybrid Worker, working from home or one of our centres. It is a requirement to attend a small number of meetings and events at our centres and venues throughout the year.

Salary: £28,605 to £31,029 per annum (pro-rata for part-time).

Working Hours: 14.8 hour per week average, based on 0.4 full time equivalent.

Contract Type: Fixed term

About the Role

The successful candidates will join our effective team of vocational experts and educators, delivering a range of courses, currently including our well established apprenticeships from level 2 to level 5 in:

  • business, leadership, management and administration;
  • customer service;
  • payroll;
  • education

Also supporting our other work-based programmes including leadership and management, and post-compulsory education.

Working as part of our team you will deliver online or blended learning classes, contribute to planning and resource development, track progress, and carry out pastoral support and reviews.

This role offers a substantial amount of working remotely from home, with access to office bases and learning centres across the county.

Job share and term-term working would be considered for the ideal candidate, at the discretion of the recruiting manager.

About You

To apply for this post, you must have:

  • Relevant vocational subject qualification and experience.
  • An assessor qualification at level 3 or above. Applicants who do not hold this are expected to start this within the probationary period. The post holder would be eligible to take this course in-house with a funded place on our Assessor Award.
  • Substantial relevant & recent occupational experience.
  • Excellent organisation and record keeping skills.

The following is also desirable:

  • A teaching qualification at level 3 or above. Applicants who do not hold this are encouraged to start this within the probationary period. The post holder may be eligible to take this course in-house with a funded place on our Award in Education and Training.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
