We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join a supportive secondary school team.
The successful candidate will inspire pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore performance, creativity, and confidence through drama and theatre studies. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a Drama Teacher:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons in line with the national curriculum and exam board specifications.
Teach performance, devising, and theory skills across KS3 and KS4; KS5 teaching is desirable but not essential.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to support growth and achievement.
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students with varied abilities and learning styles.
Organise and contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular drama activities.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
Ideal Drama Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge in Drama and Theatre Arts.
Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Drama (KS5 desirable).
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Drama Teacher.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage learners of all abilities.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
