Role Summary
Responsible for the efficient and effective running of Willow Green’s work placement Café located at Westy Family Hub (FKA, Westy Children’s Centre), Latchford. You will be required to plan, deliver and assess clients with additional needs. This will include the design and production of appropriate learning and assessment materials and the practical delivery of sessions promoting ongoing outcomes towards the Preparation for Adulthood framework as well as awarding body criteria.
An integral part of this role is liaising with pathway teachers and tutors on the progress of learners and clients who access the Café. Working collaboratively, you will agree, set and then track and monitor individual progress towards accredited qualifications and individualised goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Complete Initial, diagnostic, baseline assessments as well as the monitoring and recording of any ongoing assessments in your area.
2. Conduct regular reviews; record, track, monitor and report on client/ learner progress and complete evaluations, sharing these with pathway teachers/ tutors and the Head of Learning.
3. Work collaboratively with pathway teachers/ tutors on the production of detailed of Curriculum plans.
4. Deliver practical sessions aimed towards relevant qualification specification and unit criterion.
5. Prepare appropriate learning and assessment materials.
6. Deliver high quality practical sessions.
7. Identify opportunities for candidates to demonstrate competence and collect evidence utilising Evidence for Learning systems effectively.
8. Identify valid and sufficient evidence and sources of evidence to meet national standards such as; Health and Safety, COSHH, Food Hygiene, First Aid.
9. Individualise learning, adapting, and differentiating delivery for all clients.
10. Manage Learner Support Assistants effectively to maximise learning, providing them with clear instructions.
11. Accurately assess and record students additional support requirements, building on their Adult Social Care Support Plans.
12. Report and log student incidents allowing a comprehensive case of additional support to be compiled.
13. Comply with Safeguarding and Prevent policy and procedures at all times, ensuring the safety of all clients.
14. Provide a positive role model for all clients and learners.
15. Motivate, advise and support clients and learners at all times.
16. Work as part of a team sharing ideas and experiences.
17. Promote and maintain a stimulating, progressive learning environment.
18. Demonstrate consistent confidentiality in all matters concerning students.
19. Undertaking relevant Risk Assessments.
20. Participate in observation systems in order to quality assure Teaching, Learning and Assessment.
21. Take part in all mandatory training and CPD opportunities as required.
22. Champion the vision and values of Willow Green and promote equality and diversity.
23. Be flexible and easily able to adapt to changes in duties, routine and circumstances.
24. Be accepting of daily fluctuations within the organisation and support requirements of clients.
25. Be proactive in liaising with Westy Café organisational leaders to ensure Willow Green Café is actively promoted.
