About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Manager to lead our transport operation in Redditch. You will be responsible for overseeing drivers, fleet, and planning activities, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellent customer service. This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoys leading teams to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring all collections and deliveries are completed on time and to standard.

  
  

• Lead, support, and motivate drivers and transport staff, fostering a positive team culture.

  
  

• Ensure compliance with all relevant transport legislation, including driver hours, vehicle checks, and health & safety.

  
  

• Oversee route planning and scheduling, optimising efficiency and resource allocation.

  
  

• Manage fleet maintenance, defect reporting, and fuel usage to ensure cost-effective operations.

  
  

• Monitor and address driver infringements, providing training or corrective action where required.

  
  

• Liaise with customers, drivers, and internal departments to resolve queries quickly and effectively.

  
  

• Provide accurate reports to senior management, highlighting performance and areas for improvement.

  
  

  What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Transport Manager or senior supervisory role within logistics.

    
    

  • Strong working knowledge of transport compliance and legislation.

    
    

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills.

    
    

  • Ability to manage costs, budgets, and resources with a commercial mindset.

    
    

  • Organised, adaptable, and able to thrive in a busy, deadline-driven environment.

    
    

  • Ideally CPC qualified (or working towards).
