We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Integrated NHS Foundation Trust. Our service portfolio for this role includes Mental Health (Inpatients and Community), Older Adults Mental health and the newly created Children’s Care unit bringing together Children’s Mental and Physical health services. The Trust is also involved in several collaborations in research and innovation with the Institute of Mental Health, the University of Nottingham, and other partners.
Our services are provided by more than 11,000 staff in hospitals, community settings and patients’ own homes, predominantly in Nottinghamshire but services are also provided in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and Leicestershire.
We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic individual to lead the Mental Health Care Group as Care Group Director within Nottinghamshire Healthcare supporting and working directly with our Chief Operating Officer. In this pivotal role, you will be expected to embrace the changes in the delivery of healthcare and to champion leading in line with our values, always demonstrating compassionate and inclusive leadership.
To be successful in this role you will need experience of delivery of high quality and safe clinical services in Mental Health both on a local, regional and national level. The role will be accountable for the coordination and delivery of operational services within the Care Group. Whilst not essential someone with clinical credibility in Mental Health would be a desirable factor to take our range of services forward.
You must have successfully led large multi-disciplinary teams and have significant experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships either within NHS organisations, local government, community, and voluntary sector or the private sector.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the successful candidates will have integrity and enthusiasm and be committed to championing our values, while always demonstrating inclusive leadership. You will be actively involved in shaping the future direction of the Trust, helping us embrace emerging ways of working and driving our commitment to delivering high quality care.
This is a real opportunity for an experienced, inspirational leader to help us deliver on our ambition to improve services for people and communities.
#TeamNottsHC comprises over 11,000 dedicated colleagues who #MakeADifference every day. We deliver intellectual disability, mental health, community health, forensic, and offender healthcare services across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, and South Yorkshire. Our care is provided from over 200 sites, spanning community locations, acute settings, and secure environments, including prisons.
We are one of the largest mental health and community Trusts in the East Midlands and one of Nottinghamshire's biggest employers. We also host national and regional services, such as the National High Secure Deaf Service and the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health.
We offer a variety of employee-led staff networks, including Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) groups, the Green Champions network, the Freedom to Speak Up network, the Health and Wellbeing Champions network, and the Menopause Champions network. These networks play a vital role in supporting our diverse workforce and promoting a culture of inclusivity.
The health and wellbeing of colleagues is a top priority. We invest significantly in this through our in-house occupational health and staff counselling services, supported by a dedicated Health and Wellbeing team.
The Trust is committed to reducing its carbon emissions, with a specialised Energy and Environmental team working to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, enhance our environmental performance, and achieve our net-zero commitment.
