Crynodeb
The post-holder will be expected to help develop the joint fetal services within the Directorate. The Post-holder will contribute to assessment and setting management plans for fetal patients diagnosed with heart disease as well as supporting the Fetal and Paediatric Cardiac Network.
The post-holder will be a member of the Fetal and Paediatric Cardiology Service of the Children’s Cardio-Respiratory and Intensive Care directorate, part of the Evelina London Women and Children’s Clinical Group. The post-holder will be expected to work closely with existing consultants and the multidisciplinary team to provide a clinical service of excellence for the foetuses and children with congenital or acquired heart disease.
The post-holder will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the care of foetuses and children requiring cardiac care, including when in paediatric intensive care and high dependency units.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to paediatric cardiology clinics (both at centre and in network) and take part in the general paediatric cardiology on call rota.
The post holder will be expected to actively participate in the research, education, and administrative responsibilities of the fetal and paediatric department, as well as generally support the Trust and its Directorate of Children’s services.

The Paediatric Cardiology Service sits both at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital and the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. The Main duties of this post will be carried out at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals but there will be cross-site work at the Evelina London Hospital. It is a requirement of your employment that you be prepared to work at both sites and in any additional or different location in the Network owned or served by the Trust, either on an on-going or temporary basis according to the demands of the service. The distribution of services will be outlined in the Job Plan.
This is a fixed term post for 12 months and the post-holder will be integral to the service delivery. For more details please see attached documents.
