An exciting vacancy is available as a Lecturer in Multi-Skills in the Construction department at Cardiff and the Vale College. This post will be based across campuses.
Responsibilities include:
Identification of learning needs including the needs of those with learning difficulties or disabilities
Producing learning plans that address the issues of individual learning, learning through experience and group learning
Producing teaching and learning materials that engage learners and reinforce learning
Ensuring an interactive, safe and productive learning environment that fosters learners’ security and confidence Identifying and addressing poor motivation and challenging inappropriate behaviour
Contributing to the design and implementation of induction procedures
Informing students of their entitlements and details of how to access services available to them
Identifying an appropriate range of assessment methods that will deliver fair, valid and reliable results
Ensuring equal opportunity in the design and application of assessment procedures
Participate in team and committee meetings
Assist with Curriculum development, which may include identification of consumer requirements, planning, and development of courses and course materials
Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.

To be eligible to apply for this role you will need to have a level 3 vocational qualification in brickwork or equivalent and have current trade assessor status or be able to provide evidence of appropriate occupational competence (relevant to awarding bodies requirements).
