We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist who demonstrates high level of neuro-rehabilitation and communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment and wants to develop and specialise in the area of neurological rehabilitation.

The Hillingdon Specialist Rehabilitation Service has 32 level 2 neuro-rehabilitation beds with an additional 4 level 1 beds. It is split across 2 units, The Alderbourne Unit and Daniels Rehabilitation Unit both based at Hillingdon hospital. This post will be split across both units.



The successful candidate will:

- Gain experience in providing specialist OT for patients with a variety of neurological conditions and complexity including acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury.

- Work within an established multidisciplinary neurological therapy team and develop close links with social services and other agencies.

- Have excellent opportunities to develop your skills in physical and cognitive rehabilitation, specialist seating and complex case management.
• Have opportunities to contribute to the service development.

We are looking for candidates who:

· Have HCPC registration and post graduate experience in physical health.

· Have NHS experience at minimum Band 5 level, including rotations within neurological rehabilitation or experience treating stroke patients and other neurological conditions

· Are hardworking, adaptable, possess high-level communications skills, initiative and resilience.

· Demonstrate strong teamwork skills

· Car driver desirable

Our integrated therapy service is committed to continuing your professional development (CPD) alongside providing high quality patient care. You will be given regular support, training, clinical supervision and will participate in in-house training sessions. You will also have opportunity to developing your supervision and leadership skills, supported by the Therapy team lead.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
