What the job involves:
The People & Money Test Lead owns the testing of People & Money functionality. They are responsible for ensuring all testing deliverables are completed to the highest standard and delivered on time
The People & Money Test Lead is responsible for test quality & test advocacy, resource planning & management, and resolution of issues that impede the testing effort and final delivery. The post holder will assume overall responsibility for strategy, planning, execution, reporting, defect management, and test support
The People & Money Test Lead develops test plans and manages the planning and coordination of test execution by business users as part of regression testing and testing of new functionality, coaching business users in good test practice and facilitating their successful execution of the test plan.
The People & Money Test Lead owns the relationship with any testing as a service (TaaS) relationship established with external partners. Planning testing, monitoring progress, facilitating discussions between the University and the supplier on this topic and holding suppliers to account.
A bit about you:
Significant, demonstrable testing experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems and particularly in Finance & HR processes.
Strong people management skills including experience of leading test teams.
Experience of all test phases: functional, non-functional, system, integration and user acceptance testing
Communication skills are critical for this the role – colleagues should be able to communicate with a range of stakeholders: both inside the University and in external organisations; with technical colleagues and colleagues in business teams; and with colleagues at all levels of the University.
Experience of test and defect management tools including TestRail and JIRA.
