Role Objective:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in servicing and maintaining a diverse range of personal safety equipment and fixed gas detection systems. Your expertise will ensure compliance, reliability, and user confidence across client sites.
Key Responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer:
- Service and maintenance of portable gas detectors, SCBA, Escape Breathing apparatus, and fall arrest and lifting equipment.
- Set up and commissioning of new gas detection systems.
- Building trust-based relationships with clients and identifying additional safety equipment needs.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction to drive repeat business.
- Completing all relevant paperwork and updating the CRM database.
- Providing vital data for management reporting and supporting the workshop as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ proven engineering experience as a Field Service Engineer or a Static Engineer/ Technician, ideally within the safety equipment industry.
- Background in utilities, engineering, or construction sectors preferred.
- Knowledge of fixed gas detection systems is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience in fault-finding and effective decision-making.
