To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal life according to their wishes and interests.

I (Emma) am a 26 year old woman with ME or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which means I have significantly diminished energy levels and suffer from chronic pain. Therefore I sometimes need help with day to day tasks, especially when my husband is at work and unable to take care of me. Outside of the home I use a powerchair to get around but at home I am able to walk short distances. When I am able, I enjoy engaging in creative hobbies like knitting, sewing and drawing. I also play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends once a week.

Primarily domestic duties, particularly -

  • Preparing evening meal
  • Cleaning and tidying the home
  • Washing dishes
  • Laundry
Help with admin and life management, such as -
  • Phone calls e.g. booking appointments
These duties may vary from day to day.

Type of person that you are looking for:

  • Easy going, non-judgemental and respectful
  • A basic understanding of pacing and energy management e.g. not pushing through an energy crash, prioritising rest
  • Understands equality and diversity
Hours of work: 16:00-16:45 Mon, Tues, Fri & Sun (Time can be negotiated within reason)

Skills, qualifications and experience:

Essential -
  • Basic domestic skills
  • Good communicator and listener
Preferred -
Confident with making phone calls
