Pay rate: £352 per day PAYE
Role length: Anticipated 6 months
DBS requirement: An Enhanced DBS is required for this role
The role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Lead to assist and support the Assistant Director of SEND and Inclusion and Head of SEND in successfully linking the data requirements and systems support across the change programme workstreams and lead on the interaction and understanding at the change board of impact.
You will successfully implement a range of Projects within Programmes leading to greater understanding and linkage through sufficiency, IMT, SEND to aid strategic direction and support the efficient and effective delivery of the change programme focusing on data and narrative with an in-depth understanding of send systems code of practice.
Key responsibilities:
Actively assist the Programme Leads and Managers in delivery of the project in line with the developed Business Case, within the project lifecycle, with planned project reviews and with full consideration of political and internal priorities and constraints
Deliver reports for the Change Programme governance board with AD SEND and Inclusion
Create deliverable team and project plans and communication plans, considering all stakeholders, within the project definition / scope of work including resource, benefits, quality and risk management
Assist with the management of the Team and support any areas that directly link to the change programme workstreams enabling the service to function and deliver against the project
Assist with the development of future project specifications, estimations, costs plans and other relevant project management techniques taking full responsibility as required by the Programme Leads
To investigate, share and transfer best practice to improve capacity within the Department and ensure all possible lessons learned and knowledge transfer opportunities are exploited
Will manage Project and team budgets after agreement with Managers
What the client is looking for:
NQF level 4 or by experience
Must have Capita, Synergy, Data, IDOX, DPIA experience and understanding
Previous experience of managing or supporting a SEND, Data, and Procurement service project
You must be able to demonstrate that you can express yourself fluently and spontaneously
Demonstrate an understanding of the duties and responsibilities that underpins the work of the Change Programme and SEND Service
Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the code of practice
Able to successfully manage projects from initiation through to completion, including the development and introduction of new initiatives
Able to establish a clear end point with measurable outcomes
Able to identify risks and establishes appropriate strategies to mitigate against them
Able to support service through business and process change
Demonstrate the ability to integrate performance with other key aspects of information and business intelligence e.g. finance, risk, value for money, productivity and quantitative data
Able to carry out the working practices, procedures and basic operations across Programme Management and the relevant Department
Significant experience working within a large multi-functional public sector or similar organisation conducting the role of a Project Officer or business support equivalent
