Further details about the role

Weaver Primary School is looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support a child in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference to children’s lives and supporting them to thrive in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

About the Role:

• Supporting an EYFS child with SEND to access learning and daily routines.
• Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver targeted support and personalised strategies.
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating and positive learning environment.
• Building strong, supportive relationships with children, staff and families.

Commitment to safeguarding

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers, and external agencies to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will require an enhanced DBS check. As the post will involve regulated activity with children, it is a criminal offence to apply for this post if you are included on the children’s barred list held by the DBS. Other safer recruitment checks including an on-line check for shortlisted candidates will be undertaken.
