Gledhow Primary School is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to work across our school.
We are keen to speak to calm, caring, and resilient individuals who will bring a warm and nurturing personality to our school alongside an understanding of the families and children in our community.
Applications are welcome from suitably experienced and/or qualified Teaching Assistants who can demonstrate good teaching and learning skills with an understanding and awareness of special educational needs and early years.

Gledhow is a super school with brilliant pupils, staff, governors and families. We are a large busy three-form entry school in North Leeds with a wonderfully diverse pupil and colleague community. At Gledhow we strive to make the ordinary extraordinary, by taking the everyday experiences our pupils have and transforming them into amazing opportunities for learning, growth, and personal development.
This is a rewarding role where you will:
• Primarily work providing 1:1 learning support addressing the individual needs of our SEN pupils.
• Support the class teacher during lessons to create an engaging and supportive classroom.
• Help children throughout the day including at playtimes and during dinner.
• Work collaboratively as a team with our amazing teaching, learning support, and lunchtime colleagues.
The working hours are 32.5hrs per week, TTO, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm.

In return, we offer term time working and a competitive salary. We encourage continued personal development and offer training sessions for Teaching Assistants, covering safeguarding, health & safety, fire evacuations, team teach, various elements of SEN training, first aid, CPOMs and much more.
