Crynodeb
To Perform the advanced practice role of autonomously interpreting and reporting DXA scans in addition to clinical specialist radiographer duties. This includes production of a formal written report that demonstrates highly developed specialist knowledge in the diagnosis and management of the patient and adhering to audit and learning review associated with reporting. Ensure reports confirm to locally agreed format and standards using appropriate terminology and a statement of clear management. Reporting includes production of final formal report, audit and discrepancy review associated with reporting. They will assess their own specialist workload of patients and maintain associated records. The postholder will be expected to provide support and guidance for the staff working in the DXA and nuclear medicine department. As a band 7 member of staff, the postholder will have management responsibility for the DXA unit.
