JOB DESCRIPTION

Part-time Personal Assistant





A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF



I am a 25 year old man with cerebral palsy living in Tylorstown Ferndale area.

I like being out and about and visiting charity shops I also enjoy gardening and going for walks as this helps me gain strength so walking is very important to me My preferred form of transport would be trains or buses as I really like both, I also go to my local pub where I enjoy listening to music of all kinds. I don’t like big crowds of people or shouting as this makes me very anxious. I would like to try new places as I like to go out for lunch from time to time.





PURPOSE OF JOB



The main reason for the job is to support me to access the community, to socialise and engage in activities that I enjoy and to develop my skills and independence.



HOURS OF WORK



6 Hours per week.



RATES OF PAY



£14.00 PER HOUR



TASKS INVOLVED



Social outings, community activities
Shopping
Any other reasonable task

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).

The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
