We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised psychology graduate with some relevant experience working with young people and families, as well as high level written and verbal communication skills. The post-holder will be keen to use supervision and training to develop assessment and clinical skills.
The post-holder will work in an experienced multi-disciplinary team and be able to work well in different systems. This will also include contribution to group therapies and using visual tools and statistical packages to analyse and present the performance data of the service. The post holder will be supported to form links with the other Assistant Psychologists in the service and to undertake CPD activities related to career progression. Please note that this is a fixed term appointment in the first instance.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the well-established CAMHS Service within a community setting. The Assistant Psychologist will contribute to the service by supporting the clinical team by contributing to case discussion and formulation, collecting and analysing outcome measure data, and assisting with the development and delivery group interventions. Under supervision by a qualified clinical psychologist, the assistant psychologist will offer some 1:1 interventions and assist with some initial assessments.
Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
Please view the Job Description and Person Specification for further information.
The post will involve multi-disciplinary assessment, formulation, and intervention for young people with a variety of mental health/behavioural difficulties. The post-holder will also be required to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions provided and undertake Quality Improvement initiatives and audits.
