The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science at the University of South Wales is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management within the Built Environment & Sustainability subject area, who can successfully coordinate and deliver modules to undergraduate students from Foundation year to Masters level in Commercial Management & Enterprise, Construction Cost Management, and Contract Management Practice. We are seeking applications from highly motivated candidates with an interest in teaching and learning who have a passion for developing the next generation of construction professionals.

Based at Pontypridd, the successful candidate will join the Built Environment & Sustainability team and will be expected to contribute to teaching and assessment, module and/or course leadership duties', engagement in quality review and enhancement processes, and ensuring that professional body requirements are met. Applications are welcomed from current industry practitioners, who hold or are working towards appropriate professional qualifications, as well as those with an academic background.

Contribute to achieving the University’s vision, underpinned by offering exceptional learning experiences, using a scholarly approach, applied research and innovative delivery and assessment models, and so provide an excellent student experience.
Create interest and enthusiasm in students, inspire them to learn and be an exemplary role model.
Develop and deliver high-quality teaching material in the fields of structural analysis and design (and associated modules).
Contribute to the planning, design and development of programmes and short courses.
