Crynodeb
Home Office Digital, Data and Technology designs, builds and develops services for the rest of the department and for government. Every year our systems support up to 3 million visa applications, checks on 100 million border crossings, up to 8 million passport applications and deliver 140 million police checks on people, vehicles and property.
This is an opportunity for a person to work in a varied, challenging but rewarding working environment. The jobholder’s responsibility will be to make sure that the Enterprise Performance and Management (EPM) suite of applications are integrated, delivered, and operated as required with exposure to third parties in providing infrastructure services and with technical architects to translate architectural designs into operations.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery and support of EPM applications, including Financial Planning, Workforce Planning, Narrative Reporting, and Enterprise Data Management. Collaborating with stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party providers, you’ll ensure the EPM suite operates efficiently and evolves to meet business needs.
Extensive stakeholder management is required. You will need to employ strong organisational skills, make sound judgments throughout each day about priorities and adopt a pragmatic solution focused approach to balance proactive and reactive work.
As Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Administrator you will support and maintain EPM solution and services in line with departmental policies and organisational strategy.
Your main day-to-day responsibilities will be:
- Managing, maintaining, and enhancing EPM applications and associated Chart of Accounts structures.
- Supporting EPM change requests, ensuring they are processed promptly, adhere to relevant guidance, and meet organisational requirements.
- Identifying the correct procedures and appropriate channels for resolution and monitoring progress to ensure timely updates and resolutions for users.
- Investigating faults in systems, processes, and services, and advising on appropriate solutions and preventative measures to ensure smooth system performance.
- Collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure EPM solutions integrate seamlessly into wider organisational systems and processes.
- Testing and validating system changes, including patches, upgrades, and new features, to ensure successful implementation.
Other Day to Day Activities
You will also be expected to carry out the following day-to-day activities:
- Updating and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and reporting materials to reflect current processes and standards.
- Producing and reviewing reports to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Responding to incident reports, ensuring issues are prioritised appropriately for effective investigation and resolution.
- Working with well-understood technologies and supporting integration between systems as part of a wider team effort.
