What skills and experience we're looking for
John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint talented, flexible and positive teaching assistants to join our evolving organisation, who bring a ‘can do attitude’ to engage with students who need additional support.
We’re looking for committed and motivated individuals to join our friendly and supportive school team, giving you the opportunity to have real impact on the lives of young people. This role is key to our classroom teaching teams, and you will be directed and supported by senior colleagues to deliver structured learning support. Being qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in teaching support, you will have excellent Maths and English skills and be able to use your initiative to support students, contributing to their academic success, behaviour management and social skills. Working in the classroom, our Teaching Assistants provide essential support to enable students to access the curriculum and achieve better outcomes.
What the school offers its staff
If you have a passion for excellence and share our vision, we can offer you the opportunity to be part of a successful and progressive Trust, which is committed to ensuring learning is at the heart of all we do.
Commitment to safeguarding
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced disclosure and barring service check is a requirement of any post. A copy of the Trust’s ‘Safeguarding Policy’ is available to view by visiting the website: www.jtmat.co.uk
