About the role
We are recruiting for an Electrician to work in our busy Repairs Team. In this role, you will carry out general repairs, upgrades, rewires and testing of the Association’s properties. Tasks will generally be of an electrical nature, however at times work of associated trades will be necessary.
To be successful, you will ideally have complete understanding of domestic installations, have a City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent level of competence obtained from on-the-job experience.
You will be customer focused with excellent communication skills and able to form positive working relationships with customers and colleagues. A basic level of IT skills is important as the use of mobile devices is routine, and a driving licence is essential. You may be required to participate in our standby rota, for which extra payment is made.
A DBS check will be required for the successful applicant as part of our pre-employment checks.
