We are looking for an IT Service Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

You join us as a IT Service Manager, working on our Health Product Support team.

You'll play a key role in managing live services across a wide range of technologies, ensuring performance targets are met and services are continuously improved.

You'll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers, including health assessment providers, to resolve incidents, reduce problems, and deliver a first-class user experience.

You'll also contribute to major incident resolution, translate technical issues into business impact, and support on-call duties on a rota basis.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Experience in IT service management, ideally using ITIL-based methodologies.
  • Ability to manage live service issues and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including working with external suppliers and operational teams.
  • Experience contributing to incident and problem management, service reporting, and SLA/OLA management.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues in clear, business-focused language.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne or Sheffield.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and sometime collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer pay of £38,772

Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth £11,232 per year.

Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 24 days and rising to 26 days after on year.

You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
