Seeking a Personal Assistant for Margaret
I am looking for a cover Personal Assistant to help support my mum with daily living in and around her house. This position is specifically to cover for my other PAs when they are on annual leave or off sick.
Margaret is a sociable person who enjoys company and is happy and comfortable at home watching television or having a chat whilst listening to music.
I am looking for someone who is friendly, patient, caring and dependable to keep my mum safe and happy at home. She has a good a sense of humour and likes someone who can match this. Your role will also include offering companionship and encouragement, helping Margaret continue to enjoy her passions and independence.
A typical day will include supporting with daily medication, support washing and dressing, making/supporting make breakfast. Ensuring she is safe when moving around the house.
Other days will require more personal care: bathing-hair washing and some light, household chores including washing and ironing.
My mum can’t manage some tasks at all and needs support with most others throughout her day at home as she has limited safety awareness and is unsteady on her feet.
Margaret is smoker and she has a small dog.
This position is based in Cardonald – Southside/Glasgow, and the role is for irregular hours, however you may be asked to cover up to 30 hours per week. The gross hourly rate is £13.60. A driving license is preferred but not essential.
