The Role
Are you an experienced administrator with a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and experience working with financial data and supporting research applications or projects? We are seeking an enthusiastic administrator with great communication and problem solving skills to join our research and finance team where you will help to support our innovative and world-leading research agenda.
You will act as Research and Finance Coordinator for Professional Services Colleagues in the School of History, Classics and Archaeology. You will organise, manage and prioritise the business needs for research support, and in particular research grant application support ensuring provision of an efficient service to both staff and students in line with School strategic objectives, as directed by the School Manager and School Research Manager. You will therefore have strong organisational and problem solving skills.You will also provide expert advice in research and finance support systems and tasks managing complex, pre
- and post
- award research support and high-level financial queries.
We are looking for someone who is a good team player with some experience supervising tasks and excellent interpersonal skills as this work involves liaison with different stakeholders within and outside the University. A positive ‘can do’ attitude and a flexible and helpful approach is essential.
We operate a blended working approach with at least half of your time spent on campus in our shared office space.
