Role OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educational Teaching Assistant to join the team on a long-term basis through Hays Education. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
- Assist in classroom activities and learning interventions
- Act as a coach and mentor for a designated student group
- Support the implementation of individual education plans
- Foster positive relationships and promote student engagement
- Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams
✅ Requirements
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people (school-based preferred)
- Knowledge of SEN and a commitment to inclusive education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; training provided for SIMS and Class Charts
