Your new company
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a Welsh Government arms-length body on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity. We are seeking an experienced Head of Partnerships to lead the strategic stakeholder engagement and Partnership delivery, join the Senior Management Team, and lead a team of seven. You will play a central role in growing the organisation's partnerships across Wales, the UK and beyond.
Your new role
You will lead the development and delivery of a focused, strategic approach to engagement for the organisation. You will connect and influence a wide range of stakeholders, within industry, health and social care providers, academia and government, amongst others, building strong relationships that deliver measurable impact. Acting as a senior representative of the organisation, you will identify opportunities that address needs, drive a strong pipeline of projects, and ensure Wales is positioned as a leader in the sector.
Leading a strong and collaborative team of seven, you will oversee the implementation of the organisation's engagement strategy and account management plan, leading targeted stakeholder mapping, relationship management and network building. You will oversee the Partnership Team delivery of key partnership delivery plans, the delivery of strategic engagement programmes, and the co-ordination of the annual programme of events.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have knowledge and an understanding of the Health and Life Sciences sector in Wales with an understanding of working in a complex environment with many diverse stakeholders. You will have experience of leading and developing people, resources, and processes to ensure public sector business / delivery plans are properly executed and delivering the expected results. You will have a successful track record of relationship / account management underpinned by effective systems and processes. A strong planner and organiser, you will have the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities at any one time.
What you'll get in return
This position is offered as a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. Annual salary of £68,770, plus benefits including 38 days annual leave (including public holidays) and a pension scheme with 11% employer contributions. Flexible / hybrid working options are available.
