The post holder will be an experienced Senior Data Analyst & Delivery Manager and will play a key role in shaping and delivering business change, embedding continuous improvement and driving collaboration in the business. The role does this by collecting, organising and studying data to provide business insight. This includes applying tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation whilst providing leadership and line management. It includes the identification, analysis, and delivery of requirements for product development whilst working in an agile way. The role will work closely with stakeholders and aligned professions including Data Architects, Front and Back End Engineers, Project Delivery teams and Data Analysts.
As part of the DMIS team this role will:
Manage multiple projects within a digital environment, carry out data modelling and will understand end to end processes. It will deliver business analysis, understand user requirements for developing data visualisation.
Maintain data quality and continuous data management across multiple workstreams by working collaboratively with colleagues to track delivery using agile and product lifecycle knowledge. This will include maintaining delivery plans and appropriate systems to enable effective scheduling and risk management whilst improving processes and documentation used by the team.
Maintain commercial activity, governance boards, project controls, and reporting updates.
Manage their time effectively and work to tight deadlines e.g. supporting testing of products, reviewing and drafting documentation and supporting recruitment.
Facilitate continuous improvement, producing and analysing specific usage data to develop evidence-based recommendations to improve service delivery and corporate brand of the team.
Align and deliver business change and communication activities in collaboration with business stakeholders, including drafting appropriate, accessible communications.
Ensure that appropriate technical, service and user processes are in place and documented and training is delivered.
Line management responsibility of 2 HEO Civil Servants. Demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism and personal integrity in all activities. Passionate about developing staff and showing a drive for innovation and improvement.
As a Senior Data Analyst & Delivery Manager in DMIS you will identify, understand and explain business and user requirements for various data needs including dashboarding capabilities where appropriate. You will obtain and document requirements for new datasets and features to be included in visualisations where appropriate. You will translate business problems and user needs into a set of detailed requirements to deliver value and outcomes. This will mean working closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their business processes, architecture, structures and needs. This role involves working on complex projects, managing stakeholder relationships, working independently and having a good understanding of the business area.
