About the Role?
This position entails being an integral part of a service-oriented street cleansing maintenance team, primarily focused on enhancing and upholding the cleanliness and aesthetic quality of streets, parks, open spaces, and residential areas. The role involves executing street cleansing and maintenance tasks in various locations throughout Norwich City Centre. Daily responsibilities include reporting any issues encountered during work to a team leader, adhering to established standards and schedules.
Key responsibilities encompass a range of tasks such as emptying street bins, litter picking, pressure washing street furniture, weeding hard surfaces, and sweeping designated areas within the city center. The role requires the completion of daily reports to the team leader regarding the condition and cleanliness of the areas serviced. Candidates must proactively address any on-site issues or escalate them to the team leader or chargehand for further assistance. The position also involves driving various vehicles, performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment, and promptly reporting any safety concerns or equipment defects using the VRC APP. It is essential to conduct daily checks on vehicles and equipment, maintain accurate records, and uphold high standards of equality and customer care while ensuring compliance with health and safety policies in the workplace.
