An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Course Leader in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy to join our Construction, Professional and Service Industries team reporting to our Curriculum Manager.

As a Course Leader within Stockton Riverside College, you will be responsible for leading, planning and development of the curriculum. Along with delivering, engaging lessons, aligned with awarding body requirements and college standards.

Develop new courses in collaboration with employers and in turn focusing upon emerging trends in the sector.

Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning resources to meet diverse learner needs.

Collaborate with colleagues, employers, and external bodies to enhance the learner experience and support employability outcomes.

Be responsible for student retention, attendance, achievement, success rates, value added, progression and destinations for named courses/cohorts of students

Lead on the evaluation of provision through self-assessment and action planning.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer who is ready to take a step into Leadership and Management. You will in addition deliver high-quality, engaging, and inclusive teaching to learners across a range of qualifications — from Level 1 possibly through to Level 4, including adult learning programmes and 14-16 provision.

We are looking for:

Recognised Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy
Industry experience with up-to-date knowledge of current practices and trends.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Commitment to inclusive, learner-focused teaching and continuous professional development.
