Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team on a part time self employed basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various models of vehicles. Also be able to rebuild engines. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our work.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and clutch replacements.
Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work performed.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
Collaborate with other team members to improve repair processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and engines.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance).
A valid driving licence is preferred.
Having your own tools is essential.
