Salary: Grade H. Scale 29 - £39,862 to Scale 31 - £41,771

Hours Per Week: 36 hours

Base Location: Tameside Housing Advice, Old Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL6 7RL

The Role

This is a brand new and exciting role to work alongside the Housing advice team to identify new opportunities and partnerships in Tameside to help deliver high quality accommodation and support services.

Although the post is office based there will be lots of working across communities to bring together effective partnerships and services to support the Homelessness and rough sleeping strategy and action plan and really make a difference to the residents of Tameside facing housing difficulties.

About You

You will be a strong, confident and experienced individual able to negotiate high value and complex technical and price contracts.

Ideally you will have experience in a similar contracts and commissioning environment in a local authority or in housing and support services.

You will be a great communicator and show a track record of developing strong partnerships to deliver shared ambitions.

You will be able to work on your own initiative an navigate your way through procurement rules in a timely fashion.

Excellent IT skills are a must to enable good contract management to be in place.

Negotiating skills and an understanding of the current housing market is also a must alongside an understanding of the challenges being faced by local authorities.

The ability to provide high level reports and present complex information to a variety of audiences is a vital skill required as is an understanding of a local authorities financial processes.
