This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Catering provision at Falinge Park High School.
We are looking for someone with creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for food with excellent communication skills and an excellent understanding of how to manage nutritional and dietary requirements in a high school environment
We require a Catering Manager who will complement and lead our wider catering team in school.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience and skills in mass catering provision
- Ability to develop and progress the catering provision to deliver healthy and high-quality meals that meet Nutritional Standards.
- The skills to plan and produce termly menus, taking into account legislative requirements and the needs of the young people and staff at the school
- A passion for food and customer service
- Excellent people skills and a large dose of tact and diplomacy
- To achieve best value without compromising quality relating to authorised catering service.
- To ensure the attractiveness of the catering provision, including food presentation and the eating environment
- To be responsible for the performance of the whole school catering provision.
- The ability to produce meals within a set budget
- Negotiate best value contracts with authorised suppliers to ensure the cost and effectiveness of the catering service.
- The ability to work under pressure whilst retaining a sense of humour.
