Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level in a supportive, flexible environment? We're hiring a Finance Assistant to join a dynamic public sector team where accuracy, organisation, and collaboration are key.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering a competitive salary of £24,169, hybrid working, and the chance to work across a broad range of finance functions-from purchase and sales ledger to bank reconciliations and expense processing.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain accurate financial records across AP, AR, cash book, and nominal ledger
- Record and process purchase invoices, debit/credit card transactions, and staff expenses
- Raise sales invoices and chase outstanding debts
- Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and ledger balances
- Support the Accounting Manager and wider finance team with ad hoc tasks
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations and assist with BACS payments
- Handle administrative duties including spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence
What You'll Bring
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
- Experience with Sage 200 & Public Sector experience is a bonus
