We're looking for a motivated Repairs Manager to join a busy Property Services team and take the lead on repairs and maintenance across a diverse housing portfolio.
As Repairs Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day repairs and maintenance, ensuring work is delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest standards. You'll act as the main point of escalation for contractors, manage performance, and ensure compliance with health and safety and regulatory requirements.
You'll also line-manage a small team (Property Inspector and Repairs & Invoice Administrator), support their development, and work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver excellent customer service.
- Oversee all reactive and planned repairs across a range of property tenures.
- Manage contractors: monitoring performance, holding progress meetings, and ensuring value for money.
- Ensure works meet health, safety, and compliance standards.
- Handle complaints and escalations relating to repairs.
- Lead on quality assurance, inspections, and reporting on repair performance.
- Support team development and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple priorities.
- Skilled at working with contractors and internal teams to get results.
- Customer-focused, approachable, and solutions-driven.
- Comfortable with reporting, data, and using IT systems.
- Knowledgeable in building regulations, repairs, and health & safety requirements.
- Strong background in repairs, maintenance, or construction.
- Experience specifying and managing repair/void works.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
