2 full time (37.5 hours per week) posts to work within the Ophthalmology Department at Hull Royal Infirmary.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated person to join the Ophthalmology Department as aFailsafe Officer. The successful applicant will beinstrumental in maintaining failsafe procedures andwill have responsibility for process monitoring, and data validation.
The post holder will also assist in improving the quality and system for the collection of data used within the department to indicate performance against local commissioning targets and KPI’s. To participate in information retrieval to support research and the audit programmes.
The Failsafe officer will be responsible for reporting functions for patients within the Ophthalmology Service for patients that are referred to the service or patients who are retained for treatment / monitoring.
In addition, the Failsafe Officer has a responsibility for monitoring treatment timelines for intravitreal injection patients and patients on the Outpatient Waiting List whose timelines differ from the 18 week RTT pathway, plus other failsafe reports.

The Trust is undergoing service transformations and review, therefore there may be a requirement in future for weekend work. The successful candidate must be able to travel to their base of work, travel expenses are not provided. The successful candidate must be able to travel across sites if required.
