Summary


We are currently seeking a dedicated Matron for the Access & Urgent Care team within Fylde Coast LSCFT. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing the quality of care for our service users, improving the effectiveness of care pathways, and strengthening governance across the care group. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Service Manager, Team Manager and the wider MDT team to elevate clinical skills and practices.

As we embark on our quality improvement journey, we are looking for a dynamic leader to ensure rigorous oversight and assurance, with a keen focus on improving patient experience. This role demands a strong influencer capable of implementing quality improvements to boost patient safety, embedding the governance structure, and supporting the team in delivering and maintaining these enhancements.

The Matron will be responsible for enhancing patient experience by increasing responsiveness to patient needs, providing evidence that care is delivered at the highest quality, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team. Demonstrating 'professional curiosity' through positive leadership, the Matron will support clinical decision-making and enhance patient safety.



Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
